Question Pro is better than Testmoz in that you can get very visual feedback of responses. Unlike Testmoz, however, QuestionPro can't be used for free beyond a limited number of responses (see Notes and Caveats below).

If you exceed your Question Pro responses, you can also use ClassMarker for an equal number of free quizzes per month. Mentimeter is a pretty new, free (for now) site that allows for polling and public displays of data on a simple bar graph; students can vote via phone or computer. Wufoo is another service with free but limited uses per month.

Applications for the Classroom:

• Collect student attitudes on a theme before beginning the study of a novel with that theme.
  
• Survey students on most important characters, events, etc.
  
• Compare/contrast two poems or short stories.
  

Notes and Caveats:

• QuestionPro has limited the number of surveys and responses which were allotted to free users. You can still host one live survey with up to 100 responses per month, but if you want more, you'll need to upgrade to a paid plan. Using a number of services such as this would provide you with ample resources; however, if several teachers in your school decided that QuestionPro was useful, it might be worth subscribing to a paid plan.
• Keep in mind that you can always use Google Forms to create simple, embeddable forms for collecting data or even student responses to assessments.
